citizenbay struggles every day in the search for elegance.
We don't mean a search for nice shoes or putting on a cool tie (though that does happen too).
We take the search for elegance from the worlds of mathematics, physics, and computing.
Where there is complexity, mathematicians take an alternative route through this complexity to find a simple coherent and long-term solution. They call it the search for an elegant solution.
Physicists and chemists seek elegance too, as do computer programmers who seek to create intuitive websites using as little code as possible.
Some of the great designers of the world seek the same thing in the wondrous objects & buildings they create. if you have sat in a Hans Wegner chair, or seen Farnsworth House you will know what we mean.
Elegance can be a tough option though.
And the world is ever more connected and complex. Companies are finding it tough to find their way through it. People are navigating their way through as best they can. Some are enjoying the ride, others are looking for help through the complexity.
Whether company or person, the easier option is to choose the complex solution, as shown by a plethora of conflicting messages across a wide portfolio of communications channels.
Elegant solutions might be tough to arrive at, but we believe they deliver more value for people and for brands.
Mies Van der Rohe once said: Less is More.
We just say: Simply does it.
